Power of Attorney
Jacksonville Lawyer – Power of Attorney
A Power of Attorney is a written document signed by a person giving another person the power to act in conducting the signer’s business, including signing papers, checks, title documents, contracts, handling bank accounts and other activities in the name of the person granting the power. A valid Power of Attorney is used to conduct your personal business when you are physically or mentally incapable of doing so yourself.
This is one example of an Advance Care Directive. Advance care directives are authorizations for another person to act on your behalf in a legal, Health Care, or business situation. There are three types of advance care directives: Power of Attorney, Health Care Surrogate, and Living Will.
